Casa Platform Roma: a connection between history and modernity

In the hidden heart of Rome, among the ancient walls of Palazzo Orsini, just some steps away from Piazza Navona and Castel Sant’Angelo, lies Casa Platform Roma, the new Roman headquarters of Platform Architecture and Design. This extraordinary residence is not just a physical space but an authentic celebration of the dialogue between the past and the present. A perfect blend between the timeless charm of antiquity and the formal clarity of contemporary design.

In this space, where every detail seems to defy time, stands an architectural narrative created by Set Architects in collaboration with Steel-Group. Modern materials meet tradition, with metal elements finished in brass evoking the opulence of ancient Rome. The spiral staircase, the monumental bookshelf, and the kitchen table are not just objects; they are silent protagonists of an aesthetic and emotional story.

Design that becomes art
At the center of the scene, the spiral staircase: a metal work of art with a brass finish. Its sinuous form is not only functional, providing access to the upper floor, but it also stands as a sculpture that captures the eye from every angle. This masterpiece transforms the everyday into a visual experience, elevating the simple to the sublime.
Beside the staircase, the monumental bookcase, 4.5 meters high and over 8 meters long, dominates the living room like a wall of ideas. Made of metal and characterized by a play of contrasts between light and dark brass, the bookshelf holds a secret: a Leica projector perfectly embedded within its structure. When not in use, the screen disappears, preserving the harmony of the design. Finally, the kitchen table, a symbol of conviviality. With cylindrical metal legs and an ultra-thin tabletop of just 5 millimeters, it combines aesthetic lightness with structural strength, inviting guests to share moments in an elegant and refined space.

THE RESULT

Casa Platform is much more than a residence: it is a cultural landmark. A place where modernity intertwines with history, creating an environment where every corner, every detail, every finish tells a unique story. An invitation to experience the space not just with the body, but with the soul.
